Many home insurance policies restrict coverages, and amounts of insurance related to specialty items (such as jewelry, watches, furs, artwork, special collections, antiques, etc) as these items may lend themselves to fraud, or disagreements of value if they are unscheduled.

Thus, we suggest that you submit an appraisal and color photo for each specialty item in order to confirm value from the onset, and subsequently allow it to be scheduled on your insurance for an additional charge.  For example, a $5000 mink fur may cost approx $55/yr, or a $12,000 engagement ring may cost approx $120/yr to insure.
